A St. Bernard Parish couple faces charges after allegedly giving a 1-year-old boy a chocolate-flavored daiquiri in his baby bottle.
Daiquiri is a family of cocktails whose main ingredients are rum, lime juice, and sugar or other sweetener.There are several versions, but those that gained international fame are the ones made in the El Floridita bar in Havana, Cuba.

Nicholas Lee and Jaelin Manuel, both 19, were arrested at a parade on Sunday. A witness reported seeing the couple pour a frozen alcoholic beverage into the bottle and hand it to the boy to drink, St. Bernard Chief Deputy Sheriff James Pohlmann said.The incident happened during the Italian and Islenos Community Parade in Chalmette.A detective assigned to investigate reported finding both the bottle with the liquid and a brownish stain on the boy's shirt.Lee and Manuel were booked on one count each of cruelty to a juvenile.
